OLIUS
Olius is a Spanish municipality in the province of Lleida. It is situated at the heart of the comarca of Solsonès, Situated next to the Cardener river above the reservoir of Sant Ponç.
Casa Marcús is 3 km from Solsona. From the Pallera de Marcús, at an altitude of 619 metres, you can enjoy the rural landscape of the hills and small valleys of the Solsonès, with a wide variety of flora and fauna. The nearby River Cardener offers more to discover. Just over 30 km to the north are mountain destinations such as Port del Comte and Tuixén-La Vansa, where Nordic skiing is practised.
ACTIVITIES
The main economic activities at the farm are agriculture (cereals and fodder), extensive bovine livestock, pigs, rabbits and forestry.
The area offers a wide number of outdoor activities to choose; from hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, golf, fishing and Picking up mushrooms. Also in summer you can practice water sports (at 15 km.), Both in the Llosa and in Sant Pons lake. Or if you prefer you can visit Solsona or Cardona (20 km.)

From Romanesque architecture to Catalan Modernism. Sant Esteve d’Olius is a Lombard Romanesque church consecrated in 1079, with a distinctive crypt. The Modernist cemetery stands beside it. The Hotel Sant Roc in Solsona is another example of Modernism.

Solsona Cathedral
The three apses, bell tower, cloister, cellar and canons’ dining room survive from the Romanesque church (1070–1163). The rest is mainly Gothic, from the 13th and 14th centuries, although the ensemble was not completed until the 17th century.

Montserrat
The Benedictine monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat stands on Montserrat mountain, 720 metres above sea level. It is one of the symbols of Catalonia.
A monumental complex in Riner, in the heart of the Solsonès, with a Baroque church, monastery and spectacular altarpiece. Marked walking routes begin at the sanctuary, with viewpoints towards the Pre-Pyrenees.
A circular domed structure used between the 17th and 19th centuries to store ice from the Negre river. Visits are available only as part of a guided tour.
A 10th-century Romanesque tower and nationally protected cultural asset, preserving the character of the Solsonès’ old fortifications in a quiet rural landscape.
